Now
that autumn is upon us, you, as the electronic gaming consumer,
will be faced with two new choices: Microsofts Xbox,
and Nintendos Gamecube. Both are scheduled for mid-November
releases, and are set to unleash themselves onto the salivating
masses, who are laying in wait like dogs on a foxhunt.
The
first contender is Microsofts Xbox- If you want a
computer with DVD player, you should just go out and buy
one. Nuff said.
The
second contender is Nintendos Gamecube- A perfect
system for gaming. No more and no less. Here are ten reasons
1.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who has more than 15 years
of experience in the video game entertainment industry.
2.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who has the only original
and exclusive titles for a system this fall.
3.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who doesnt charge you
an extra hundred dollars for a DVD movie player that doesnt
work unless you pay another thirty dollars for the remote.
4.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, whos actually built
a game system before.
5.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who understands that when
you buy a game system, you buy it to play games, not to
watch movies, vacuum the house and warm up cold pizza.
6.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who doesnt stick crappy
computer parts into the system that will break down and
force you to pay for special repairs.
7.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who dont know what ctrl+alt+del
means. (Or the difference between a cold boot and a warm
boot
.What??? Lockup
What?!?!)
8.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who is arguably one of the
best game developers in the market today.
9.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, who understands that not everyone
has elephantiasis of the hands, and build a controller to
reflect that.
10.
Gamecube is made by Nintendo, whos sole goal is not
world domination (Or at least not outside of the videogame
world, anyway.)
So
in conclusion, there are many reason this fall to choose
the Gamecube over the Xbox. And one of the most compelling
arguments that you can make for Gamecube over Xbox is that
its made by Nintendo. That is, if I havent already
said that
Come
this Fall, I hope you and your family will heed my words
of wisdom, and make the right choice. (Or at least get a
good chuckle out of a Nintendo-fan-boys comments.)
